1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the website at https://flatpadi.com and any related services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by Flat Padi (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

Flat Padi is a home renting platform focused on bringing comfort to tenants. Our current Services include a coming-soon landing page, a pre-registration form, and informational content about our upcoming platform. Features and availability may change over time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

4. User Accounts & Third-Party Authentication

When our full platform launches, you may be able to register and sign in using third-party authentication providers such as Google OAuth. By using such services, you agree to the applicable third-party terms and privacy policies, including Google's Terms of Service.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activities that occur under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our Services to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material (spam).
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services or related systems.
  • Harvest, collect, or store personal data about other users without their consent.
  • Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Services.

6. Intellectual Property

The Services and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software) are the exclusive property of Flat Padi and its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services or included content without our prior written permission.

7. User-Submitted Content

By submitting information through our pre-registration form or any other mechanism, you grant Flat Padi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that information for the purpose of providing and improving our Services as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent and warrant that any content you submit does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

8. Third-Party Services

Our Services may include links to or integrations with third-party websites and services (such as Google Forms, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn). These are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Flat Padi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or (ii) USD $50.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Flat Padi and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Nigeria.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
